ROCK CREEK GREENWAY CONNECTOR - PHASE IV

SEALED SEPARATE BIDS for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the Rock Creek Greenway Connector - Phase IV will be received by Gainesville Parks and Recreation Agency, at the Martha Hope Cabin, 528 Prior Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30501, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on November 4, 2008.

THE PROJECT consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of approximately 9,400 square feet of concrete multi-purpose trails, 1,400 square feet of modular block retaining walls, and associated grading, drainage and erosion control measures.

The work will be awarded in one Contract.

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained, after September 23, 2008 at the office of the JJ & G located at 6801 Governors Lake Parkway, Norcross, Georgia 30071 upon payment of $150.00, non refundable, for each set.

A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on October 14, 2008 at 10:00a.m., local time in Gainesville Civic Center, Board Room, 830 Green Street, N.E., Gainesville, Georgia 30501. All bidders and interested subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged to attend.

A BID BOND, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total base bid shall accompany each bid submitted.

THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid.

THE OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise.

This Project is funded in part by the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The Disadvantaged Business Goal (DBE) for this project is twelve percent.

GAINESVILLE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING DEMOLITION PROJECT

The City of Gainesville is requesting proposals for the Gainesville Public Safety Building Demolition project.

SEPARATE SEALED PROPOSALS for furnishing all materials and providing all labor, tools, and equipment will be received by the Owner at the Public Utilities Engineering & Construction Services Division Office, 757 Queen City Parkway, 2nd Floor, Gainesville, Georgia 30501, 770-538-2413, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on OCTOBER 7, 2008 after which time no further proposals will be accepted.

THE PROJECT consists of 17 structures to be demolished and totally removed.

THE PROJECT will be awarded in (1) one contract.

GAINESVILLE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING UTILITIES RELOCATION - RFP

SEPARATE SEALED PROPOSALS for furnishing all materials and providing all labor, tools, and equipment will be received by the Owner at the Public Utilities Engineering & Construction Services Division Office, 757 Queen City Parkway, 2nd Floor, Gainesville, Georgia 30501, 770-538-2413, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on OCTOBER 9, 2008 after which time no further proposals will be accepted. The Proposer shall provide on the outside of a sealed envelope the Proposer's name and utility contractor license number. Any proposal submitted which does not contain the above information will not be opened and will be returned to the bidder.
Sealed Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05p.m., local time, on said date in room 305 of the Public Utilities Department, 757 Queen City Parkway, 3rd Floor, Gainesville, Georgia, 30501.

THE PROJECT consists of two separate construction sites.

The first is the construction of approximately 1100 LF of concrete encased ductbank within Pine Street and Banks Street near the Public Utilities Building at 757 Queen City Parkway.

The second is the construction of approximately 1700 LF of ductbank near The Georgia Mountains Center.

The project will be awarded in (1) one contract.

GEFA 21 WATER AND SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT I

Approximately 2,100 feet of 18-inch gravity sewer main, approximately 400 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer, and associated appurtenances. 15 each 4-foot diameter manholes, 750 linear feet of 72” reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer main, including all necessary and required accessories, drop inlets and catch basins, service changeovers, traffic control and erosion and sedimentation control.
