An annual service to the community, the Gainesville Public Works Department collects leaves curbside from October-January for residents within City limits.
To ensure roadways remain clear and safe, the Street Maintenance Division requests residents adhere to the following guidelines when placing leaves curbside:
Leaves are to be placed in long, narrow piles behind the curb
Do not place leaves in the gutter as it can inhibit storm water from draining properly
Do not place leaves in the road as this can create a hazard impacting traffic
Please remove all debris such as sticks, limbs and trash
