GAINESVILLE, Ga. (May 13, 2021) – The 2021 season of Food Truck Friday continues this week, May 14, at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.

Come hungry from 5-9 p.m. and indulge in a generous lineup of food, beverage and dessert trucks, plus live entertainment and more.

“The 2021 Food Truck Friday series has been more successful than we ever could’ve imagined,” said Lake Lanier Olympic Park Special Events Manager Eric Larsen. “Residents and visitors are definitely taking advantage of every excuse to get out, enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, as well as one another’s company. You get all these things at Food Truck Friday, plus beer, wine and good eats – and don’t forget dessert!

“New this round, we’ll also have interactive activities for attendees of all ages – axe throwing and virtual car racing. Take a break between bites to try something new and exciting on the shores of beautiful Lake Lanier.”

The following food trucks are expected at the May event: Tap It Growlers, offering beer and wine; Downtown Drafts, also offering beer and wine; All Around The World, offering world fare; Kajun Asian, bringing Creole Cajun Asian fusion to North Georgia; At The Tracks Restaurant, offering casual-gourmet food; Q’Paso Latin Grub, offering authentic Latin and South American cuisine; Pass the Plates, offering tasty pitas; Carta’s Azucar Cuban Cuisine, offering Cuban sandwiches and more; AngelFire 7 BBQ, offering killer barbecue; Juke N Jive Creamery, offering creamy, melt-in-your-mouth scoops of ice cream; Fairly Local Cupcakes, offering gourmet cupcakes and muffins; and Snowie Atlanta, offering shaved ice and mini hot donuts.

Pickup Line, the ultimate party band playing current country songs and some classics, will take the stage from 6-9 p.m. to energize the crowd, getting them on their feet and dancing to the beat.

Additional vendors will include Watkins Total Healthcare; Explore Gainesville, featuring Gainesville Public Relations staff celebrating the City's bicentennial; Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier; American Boat Brokers; Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club; Lake Lanier Rowing Club; Thrivent Financial; SunHeist Eyewear; StrikeOne Racing; Rugged Axe Throwing Co.; Hall County Library System Children’s Services; and J Geyer, among others.

Those who attend, including vendors, will be encouraged to wear masks or face coverings, unless eating or drinking; practice social distancing (6 feet, please!); and wash/sanitize their hands often.

To encourage social distancing, tables – and sanitizing stations – will be spaced out throughout the venue, offering attendees the opportunity to enjoy their food and/or beverage, but safely.

While event organizers will be taking every precaution to ensure social distancing and appropriate hygiene takes place, attendees will also have a chance to do their part.

Those interested in making the most of their night out may reserve in advance private lakeside seating, which includes a table on the grandstands with seating for six. A fee of $35 secures your table, which includes four seat cushions (for you to keep) and two end chairs, allowing ample space between your group and others. Seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Make your reservation here.
